Granite countertops are extremely popular, and it’s not hard to see why. Affordable, durable, and easily maintained, granite creates a stunning finish that provides functionality and easy cleaning for years to come. Granite is a natural stone, and with a little care and a professional sealing on installation, it can last for decades. This tough material resists chips, scratches, and cracks and is heat-resistant. Even if you do manage to damage your granite countertops, it is relatively easy to fix.
Granite countertops can boost a home’s value by adding beautiful style while also promising lasting durability. This long-term investment can last more than 30 years. With their stunning beauty and natural appeal, it’s no wonder so many select granite for their countertops.

Granite is heat resistant, but extreme heat can cause cracking or pitting (pieces of stone coming out) due to thermal shock. Therefore we recommend not placing very hot items directly on to granite surfaces. Granite is also scratch resistant, but not entirely scratch-proof as heavy objects dragged across its surface can cause damages.
We recommend that you use cleaners specially formulated for natural stone surfaces. Many general purpose cleaners contain acidic and alkaline ingredients, abrasives, ammonia and bleach and can break down sealers and damage the natural stone which is porous without the sealant. We advise you DO NOT use bleach, abrasive cleaners or ammonia on your granite surface as these will etch the surface.
